Paid Marketing Or Free Marketing
This article brought to you by the webmaster of Make Money Online Free and Free Backlinks.
This article is not to persuade you to pursue either free marketing or paid marketing, but inform you of which will suit your purpose. If you do not have any money then free marketing will of course be the best option, but if you have a little saved and do not want to waste it then read on. Remember though marketing online is much more of an art rather than a science where the bogus idea of today will be the concrete plan of tomorrow. It is a good idea to never take anyone’s word as gold, but rather read what many people have written and decide what your marketing strategy will be.
First lets discuss free marketing which is what I am personally best at. This has to do with building backlinks free, SEOing your website by yourself, and branding through free means such as youtube and social networking. First is gaining backlinks either through construction or link baiting. If you are a blogger or run a website that is information based then attempting to acquire links through link baiting will probably be your best bet. Link baiting is the process of creating content worthy of being linked to by others without you doing anything. They will link to you just because they want their visitors to see your website. Now the second way and much more prevalent way of getting links is to create them. You can use an array of sources such as article directories, blogs, social bookmarking and much more. This way of link creation best suits those who wish to rank well, but have affiliate programs or items for sale on their websites. SEO whether you have no money or you have money should be learned by every single webmaster and blogger. You can learn SEO by typing into Google “free seo tutorial” and many great sites that will take you through the basics will come up. The third form of free marketing is branding and can be done through monetary means as well as free. Personally I love youtube and anyone with a web cam can upload videos letting the world know you and what you are on the web for. You should also have a facebook and twitter account. Again you can pay for marketing, but these easy ways take little time and for what they allow you to do will be worthwhile.
Now paid marketing is always up for much debate. I have spoken with many webmasters (who have tried to convert me from free to paid) who make a lot of money with paid marketing. There are a few ways to pay for your marketing. First you can pay Google to place your ad on other peoples website this is called PPC (pay per click) where you have a set price which is usually 5 cents or so that you pay for each visit. If you are wanting to do this make sure the visitors you get are buying your products and you are making enough to not only pay for your marketing campaign, but also have at least a little capital. You can also buy links on high authority websites which will push you up high in the SERPs. Usually buying a link depends on the authority of the website selling links. Before you even think of doing this make sure you have an understanding of SEO and you again are making more with your website than spending on marketing. Personally I feel the best money is spent paying webmasters to help you market and writers for content. You can gain quite a few high quality links with an article and usually webmasters are paying up to 10 dollars usually 5 dollars per article. So if you have a little money go to the webmaster forums and pay writers for articles.
